We respect your privacy. Here's exactly how InshortAI handles your data.
This Privacy Policy describes how InshortAI ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Mohd Rijvan Khan Mogia under the IndianAI platform, handles information when you use our mobile application ("App"). By downloading or using InshortAI, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our app is designed with a privacy-first approach: we collect the minimum data necessary for the app to function and we do not build profiles or sell data.
InshortAI does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app. The only information you voluntarily provide is:
InshortAI reads your device's Android ID (Settings.Secure.ANDROID_ID) to create an anonymous user identifier. This identifier is transmitted to and stored in Firebase Realtime Database (a Google service) for app functionality purposes such as managing usage credits or session data. This Android ID is:
This data type is declared in our Google Play Data Safety declaration as: "Device or other IDs — Collected and Shared — App functionality".
InshortAI displays advertisements via Google AdMob (Google LLC). The AdMob SDK automatically collects your device's Android Advertising ID for ad personalisation and measurement. This Advertising ID is:
This data type is declared in our Google Play Data Safety declaration as: "Device or other IDs — Advertising ID — Collected and Shared — Advertising or marketing".
You can opt out of personalised ads at any time: go to Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation. You can also reset your Advertising ID from the same menu.
InshortAI stores the following locally on your device only:
This data is stored in your device's local storage and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the app's data from your device settings or by uninstalling the app.
This is an important section that you should read carefully.
InshortAI uses the Google Gemini API to generate AI responses. When you submit a question in the app, your question text is sent directly from your device to Google's Gemini API servers for processing. This means:
According to Google's documentation, data submitted to the Gemini API may be used by Google to improve their AI models, subject to their opt-out policies. The developer (InshortAI / IndianAI) has no control over Google's data processing practices. For the most current information, please refer directly to Google's privacy documentation.
If you use the Voice Input feature, InshortAI will request access to your device's microphone. This permission is used solely to transcribe your spoken question into text. Audio is processed locally using Android's built-in speech recognition service (Google Speech-to-Text). We do not record, store, or transmit raw audio data.
You may revoke microphone permission at any time through your device's app permission settings. The app will continue to function normally using text input.
Note: InshortAI does display advertisements via Google AdMob and does transmit an anonymous device identifier to Firebase. See Sections 2.2, 2.3, and 7 for full details.
InshortAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
Users aged 13–17 should use the app under parental supervision, particularly in relation to the Google Gemini API's own terms regarding age requirements.
InshortAI integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:
Used to generate AI answers. Your question text is sent to Google's servers. Governed by Google Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms.
Used for app functionality. The app transmits your device's Android ID to Firebase Realtime Database as an anonymous user key. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. Governed by Firebase Privacy Policy.
Used to display advertisements within the app. AdMob collects your Android Advertising ID and may use it for ad personalisation and measurement. You can opt out of personalised ads in Android Settings → Google → Ads. Governed by Google Privacy Policy and AdMob policies.
Required for distributing and running the app on Android devices. Governed by Google Privacy Policy.
The app may display links to external websites (e.g., Google AI Studio). These external sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect the limited data stored locally on your device:
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have the following rights with respect to your data:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features, legal requirements, or third-party service policies. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us:
